Thank you…….

One of my favourite cards to make is a thank you card – I like to make them to suit the person/people it’s intended for, to let them know just how much I appreciated what they did.

As you’ll know from my last post, Nigel and I celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday. We’ve never really done anything to celebrate it before, so this year I decided to book a night away at a swanky hotel, after my awesome friend Kate offered to have the boys for the night. Big deal, because the boys have never spent a night away from home without Nige and I – with anyone! We really didn’t know how it would go, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. (Here is the boys’ suitcase while I was packing – note soft toy (Charlie the Cheetah) on top!)

So, to say thank you to Kate and her family, I made this card. It was inspired by a sketch from Just Add Ink, so fits the bill for the challenge this week too!

And I had one other thank you card to make, for one of Nigel’s colleagues, Pamela. Pamela is a honey, who is always interested in our family, and has given the boys beautiful books and things in the past. Well, on Friday she gave Nigel two tickets to the movies – so we saw a film on Saturday night, too, while we were staying in the city. Luxury!

So thank you, ladies, for making our night so memorable. We really appreciated it.

Hi Bron! These are both such sweet cards, I’m sure they’ll be very much appreciated! Your Just Add Ink card is gorgeous – I really like that you’ve included some white space, it’s so effective in making the rest of the design pop! Thanks for playing!

That first thankyou card does fit the sketch so well. It’s cute in every way. Thanks for joining in at JAI.

Oh wow – I love the dimension of the waves over the whale – and the colours are so gorgeous together. Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink, Bron!
