Bunny Boxes and Super Heroes

27/03/2010

I’m loving this round of UStamp with Dawn and Friends. I didn’t think I’d be overly into the whole bunny thing for Easter, but look what I’ve made!

I’ve made this fabulous bunny box, and filled it with Roses chocolates, for James’s wonderful (very patient!) teacher. I work in the class as parent help every Thursday morning, and am continually amazed at this lady. She’s a new entrant specialist, having taught Year 1 for more years than she cares to remember, and she’s so good at it. And James adores her, so that’s good enough for me.

Here’s the box side-on:

The original design was all in chocolate chip, but I didn’t have any 12×12 chocolate chip cardstock, so good old kraft came to the rescue! I like this one – kraft goes with everything. I’m sure Miss Thorne will love it, too.

And here’s a picture of the boys dressed up as caped crusaders this afternoon.

It’s Plunket Appeal week here in New Zealand, and they raise money to help all children in New Zealand aged 0 – 5 years. Both our boys are/were Plunket kids (I was the Treasurer for our local committee for nearly 2 years!), so I bought some raffle tickets and they gave me a couple of superhero packs. Here’s James acting the part:

Cute eh? Happy stamping!

Your box is cute Bron – but can’t possibly compete with your boys!! They can come rescue me when I need help!
Would like to have a go at the bunny box too and have the pattern all printed to go – now if I can just find the time!!

I’m sure James’ teacher will love it. And your caped crusaders are adorable.
