Crafting with Class

30/04/2010

Another benefit to being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the abundance of talented people I’ve come to meet, who hold regular classes. I’m still to develop a class schedule, but in the meantime I sometimes attend those of my upline and friend, Jacque.

On Monday night we made a Mother’s Day gift box and matching card, using the Cottage Garden stamp set, and matching Cottage Wall designer series paper:

These projects use Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White cardstock, and matching inks.  There’s also some Rich Razzleberry ribbon and Old Olive brads in there. The pillow box is one of our new Big Shot dies – so easy to use.

Our second project was a beautiful Mother’s Day card, using Elegant Eggplant, Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock, and Soft Suede, Elegant Eggplant and Lovely Lilac ink.

The top piece of Whisper White was embossed with Perfect Polka Dots, using the Big Shot, and the Vintage Vogue stamp set was well utilised for this card. The three flowers were popped up on dimensionals, with brads from Hodgepodge Hardware to highlight.

The ‘happy mother’s day’ sentiment on both cards comes from the ‘Teeny Tiny Sentiments’ set, in the Autumn-Winter mini catalogue. To order your stamps, or get your copy of the catalogue, contact me (see details on the Contact Me page, top right).

And have a great weekend!
