A Star is Born

I must admit to having been a bit slow on the uptake with the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge this week. I think I’m too excited about Convention in Sydney this weekend! Here’s the sketch:

Anyway, I finally sat down to this yesterday – I wanted to make a card to welcome the new son of one of my team in the navy, so the colours were soft (Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and So Saffron). I used the star stamp from ‘Nursery Neccessities’ and the ‘A {Star} is Born’ stamp is from the new Level 1 Hostess Set, ‘Picture This’ (you can just see it peeking out from under the ribbon).

I embossed the Whisper White circle with Perfect Polka Dots using my friend, Big Shot, and punched out the stars with the little star punch (so handy, getting exactly the same amount of white border around each image).

So, another card on the ‘must make’ list complete!

You are the star, my friend. Your cards are fab and I love the simplicity of them. I don’t do simple 😦 – well, no where near as well as you! See you in a couple of days – WOOHOO!!
