Holiday Play Date
Yesterday the little boys and I were invited to my friend and Stampin’ Up! colleague Julia Leece’s home, to ‘play’ – yes, not just the boys, but me too! We took a train set, and Julia’s beautiful daughter played with them, which kept them occupied for ages – in fact, the whole day!
And Julia and I sat down to play too. We saw some cool ideas at Regional Training last weekend and were both keen to try them out. We used the Circle Circus stamp set, which isn’t in my collection yet (but soon will be!).
Here’s the first one – shown to us at training by Sandee Everette. First we made our own DSP using Circle Circus stamps in Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede. We then cut out 8 scallop envelopes using the Big Shot (2 for the box, and 6 for the album), and made little cards to go inside the envelope album. So much fun!
I decorated the box with a piece of Soft Suede polka dot ribbon, and a flower I made using the faux suede technique, with a clear button (backed with DSP) in the middle.
Our second project used the Circles die in the Big Shot, to use as a template. This card was simple, and came together quickly – a good one to have in reserve for when you need a card in a hurry!
If you’d like to learn how to make this card, book a workshop – I’d love to come and show you. And if you’d like to join the Stampin’ Up! team and meet great people like Julia, hurry to take advantage of the Starter Kit promotion that’s on right now. Normally $379, you can buy it until 31 July for $299! That’s a saving of $80, so well worth it.
Have a fabulous weekend – happy stamping!
