Boy Birthdays and Bots

07/08/2010

This afternoon we went to a friend’s 5th birthday party, at a 10-pin bowling alley! The whole family went, as we’re friends with the birthday boy’s parents too (a gorgeous, crazy Welsh woman and a hilarious Jamaican Englishman).

I’m working this weekend (navy), and arranged to finish early today so I could go as well.  I raced home, having detailed Nige and the boys off to go out this morning and choose a Lego set for Milo (the birthday boy).  I knew I didn’t have long to make the card before we had to go – 10 minutes in fact! Here’s the result:

I think Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White work really well with the ‘Lots of Bots’ stampset. And I got to use my alpha die for the first time in the Big Shot, to get the ‘5’ – so easy! A bit of ribbon and I was done!

Here’s the cake (delicious chocolate!):

And here are our boys, having received goodie bags, certificates and trophies from Milo’s Mum, for being so fabulous at bowling. (Ollie looks like he’s just won an Academy Award!)

Hope you get a chance to stamp this weekend, with all this wet weather around. Remember to pop over to visit our little mate Hudson’s blog here – you can order fabulous tutorial bundles there until 22 August. There are 6 to choose from…… and if you order 4 or more, you get an extra one. They’re awesome – go and look!

How gorgeous are your boys!! They do look like they won an Academy! Who doesn’t like a trophy, what a great idea. Love the cake, really cool.
Can’t believe you whipped that card up in 10 minutes. I bet Milo was tickled pink (blue!) with it. Looks like everyone had a fab day!
