Sweet Treats and Scooters

30/09/2010

At Stamp Club in two weeks we’re making cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Sweet Treats Cups. These are little acetate cups with an adhesive ring on them, used to hold things on a card. You can make them to be accessed (when you fill them with sweets or other treats) or not (when they’re filled with water or beads or buttons).

I wanted to make a sample or two that I can show to the ladies, besides the one they’ll be making (which you won’t see here for another couple of weeks!) – so this is what I created today:

Kate and I had a ‘play date’ up at Julia’s today, which meant our stamp library grew by 100%! 🙂  The stampset featured here is ‘C Is for Cat’ – not one I would normally use, but it worked well today. Wonder what kitty is thinking!?

The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Marina Mist on a Crumb Cake base, with a wee Old Olive tab.

And because it’s the school holidays, here’s another picture of Ollie (aka Batman) on his scooter this afternoon. We got outside despite the cold and grey, and had some fun!

Despite being a ‘dog person’ as opposed to a ‘cat person’ love the card. It’s a pity they don’t have scooting (is that a word?) in the Commonwealth Games as I reckon Ollie would be a winner!

Wow Bron.. What a cutie he is.. great photo collage. My son loved batman so much when he was about that age, I made him a batman cape which he subsequently tried to wear to school too! Love your card, I’m looking forward to seeing more of your art and creations
