Wedding Wishes

Nigel and I have been invited to celebrate the marriage of a navy friend this afternoon (he’ll be going, sword and medals shining – I’ll be at home with two little boys and a chest infection….)

Despite the coughing this week, I did manage to make a wedding card for the gorgeous couple. I am in love with the new colour Marina Mist – it’s striking with Whisper White. And I confirmed what I already ‘felt’ instinctively, by loooking at my new Colour Coach – Bashful Blue is the other half of the Dynamic Duo with Marina Mist.

I stamped En Francais in Bashful Blue on the Whisper White cardstock, then clear embossed the flourish from Baroque Motif in Marina Mist, so it’s nice and glossy (remember to coat the stamp with the Versamark before the ink colour  when using this technique, otherwise you end up with a dirty Versamark pad).

The sentiment (from Teeny Tiny Sentiments) is mounted on a piece of Marina Mist punched using the Modern Label Punch and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few of Stampin’ Up!s new adhesive pearls and a piece of organza ribbon finished the front, with the Scallop Trim border punch along the bottom.

There’s the co-ordinating envelope, and here’s the inside (the stamp comes from the Level 3 hostess set, Occasional Quotes):

And it is a stunning day here in Auckland, New Zealand! With a 3-day weekend ahead of us, it’s so good to be blessed with beautiful weather.

Have a fabulous day.

A lovely card so appropriate for the occasion. Somehow I don’t think you were getting much recuperating done with 2 little boys keeping you on your toes!
