Bundle of Love!

23/02/2012

Tonight I’ve made a card and some gift wrapping for a colleague of mine in the Navy. Ben Revell is 27 years old, and he and his wife Malia have just welcomed their first baby, a beautiful daughter, into the world. Unfortunately, Ben has motor neurone disease, and no-one knows how long he will live. But right now, we’re concentrating on the positive – that Ben was here to see Luisa born, and each day he has with his now 6-day-old baby girl is a blessing.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m going to visit, and have a cuddle with the gorgeous new arrival. Here is what I’m taking with me:

Here’s a close-up of the tag on the bag, made using the Pennant die in the Big Shot (with a rhinestone on the all-in-one – what girl doesn’t like a bit of bling!?):

And here’s the card, with matching envelope. I used Blushing Bride with Whisper White, and just a hint of Pear Pizzazz – love that colour combo:

I’ll be back over the weekend, to show you what I taught at Extravaganza last week. Until then – happy stamping!

This is beautiful Bron, saw on the news last night about your colleague and it is very sad, but he needs to get the most out of his days with his wife and new baby daughter.

This is so pretty and perfect for a sweet baby girl! I am sure they loved this and your thoughtfulness! How wonderful to find hope and joy in the middle of such sadness. Prayers to the family!
